I’m missing someone I use to know

their body is here but that’s as far as it goes

that laughter has disappeared… replaced with snarls and jeers

and nothing is right from their point of view

everyone is out to get me and you

that drive to do what is right has long ago been replaced with whatever will suffice

the attitude of possibility has been replaced with attempts of poverty

but the only thing that is impoverished is clear

an attitude of gratitude….. is nowhere near

so if you know where this person went let me know and we’ll attempt

to pull this lost and confused soul back to reality and coach them back to see

everything we need to be happy…….begins inside of “me”
