Imagined sanctuary….Roscoe Illinois

Passing through….. I noticed a well conceived and constructed Shelter…. For children or a child waiting to be picked up by their school bus 🚌

I imagined looking through the surrounding windows at the countryside and the passing cars

many of the travelers would honk and wave to be and I would do likewise

my parents would inquire why I would leave so early for the bus and I would say “ my lessons of the day begin there”..

the time I spent receiving and acknowledging the world afforded me appreciation for life and its intricacies…..it is an amazing world

I probably learned as much there as in the classroom

that craving to examine and survey my surroundings has never left me

we are no longer owners of that property but the bus shelter remains…. Offering to those that wait inside the privilege of taking the time to just be a part of the world 🌎 and its splendor

Waiting became a classroom, and the world itself the teacher—quiet, meaningful, and timeless.
