Not a difficult choice…..

I am neither poor nor wealthy……

rarely has lack of funds confronted me

but life and travel has exposed to me ……

there are two types of poverty

–

there is the “poverty of food, shelter, money, clothing”…..

and there is the “poverty of the soul”

interesting and baffling, but I have seen more people with abundant material possessions suffer from the “poverty of the soul” than truly impoverished people

The reason I have determined is there have been requirements for happiness

I must have this or that and until that is achieved I am not going to be satisfied with my life

working for things in itself isn’t a bad thing if it will benefit others as well as oneself

however if it is a self centered objective it will soon lose its luster and appeal after it is attained and another desire will take its place

The other perspective if what is obsessed over doesn’t come to fruition…. then what?

No peace, no fulfillment, no serenity because what has been demanded from life hasn’t been delivered…

–

May the Lord give to me proportionally to what I am willing to share with others and help me to be vigilant in my honest appraisal of “want” versus “need”

May my “ Happiness” rest with my attitude and not where I lay my head
