You’re just a tiny plant 🌱

just trying to maintain

the temperature is sweltering

you could use a drop of rain 🌧️

but you brace yourself and try to concentrate on many other things

but your thoughts meander to that single drop of rain

you call out to your neighbors and say

” how’s it going…. Just checking in”

and one after another the comments start rolling in

they take turns politely unloading what’s facing them

one by one they regurgitate and often others chime in

just when you thought your head would explode

a resounding thunder sounds from above

the conversations are over

and raindrops start to pound

there is a price to be paid

as you look to the skies above

seemed like a simple request and you end of with a flood

“your needs have been noted and you have made it thus far ….. so everything is in order”….says the powers up above

 be careful what you ask for

now I think you know what I mean

you just asked for a few drop of water and was rewarded with a flood
