I spent the last 5 years traveling the United States with intermittent volunteer work with various groups

it was enlightening….. enjoyable….. hard…. Lonely

sometimes days lost in thought and living between the lines

now I currently live in a culture that despises silence

it is obvious it is something to be avoided at all costs

the result is everyone over the age of 8 is on the phone 📱

loud is preferred….. very loud speech….. loud laughter….. loud greetings….. louder the better

I crave those sweet silent times now when the tires whined and my mind was only concerned with staying between those lines
