In the “Progress of Elimination” the neighborhood store was unfortunately deemed “old fashion and out dated.
The “Anchor of the Neighborhood”

 was gone

The Social Connection…… the meeting place….. the interaction between neighbors crossing paths as they picked up items they forgot at the grocery store run was gone and isolation slowly set in…..

kids riding bikes to purchase drinks and “penny candy” meeting other children from other neighborhoods that didn’t offer their “neighborhood store”

Some things cannot be replaced or substituted…. the  “neighborhood store” falls into that category
