I admit I was remiss to consider what would be required before my trip

so what ensued was a bump in the road and a kick in my butt

and a few coins out the window ….may someone in need gather them

but being resilient from lessons in my past

I accept my derelictions and get back on track

life without detours we wouldn’t learn much

so you take what you need and get on the bus

Detour
