Doesn’t directly affect me

I’ll just look the other way

People destroying public property….. attempting to erase the past

I’ll just look the other way

where after all this time we are still talking about

“ people of color”

I’ll just look the other way

when brainwashing is a sought after experience

I’ll just look the other way

When the mention of “God or faith” is greeted with twisted faces and disdain

l’ll just look the other way

when Amazon delivers your latest batch of wants and you open them with a 7 dollar cup of coffee ☕️ in your hand

you’ll just look the other way

–

then one day what happened….. those troubles are outside your door….. for so long they seemed so far away…. Now your street is filled with trash and your children are prohibited from playing in the front yard

it always seems so distant when we live in make believe

America is crumbling…….  But I’ll just look the other way
