We came for a drink

much to our surprise

your well is empty……your well has gone dry

once the wisdom you offered made us feel less alone

but you came to believe that wisdom was your own

the humility and grace that was obvious in you ways

has faded and was lost when you became a sage

many had given you that title from the example that you gave

 But they slowly vanished when to your own logic you became a slave
