that you are a mystery

unfortunately …… to yourself

the lines you have drawn are twisted and torn

because you don’t really like them yourself

so you spend an inordinate amount of time

trying to unwind the ball of yarn 🧶 lodged in your mind

sadly you have lied to yourself

the criteria you have placed around “ saving face”

has left its mark throughoutyour life

and the things you hold fast are pulling you back

because you have distorted their intended

meaning

a code is good ….  But …. Not if it’s misunderstood

it becomes a cord around your neck
