sniper/ for westover tony
on a lark, i dialed your number while scrolling through my phone/your girlfriend and co-junkie answered and i asked if you were home.
i knew that when i called you it would be doubtful you could be found and sure enough she slowly said 6 months ago ”i put Tony in the ground.”
that was probably the most honest statement she has spoken in awhile, because when you were getting better she would drag you down again.
no i can’t blame her you used that as a defense why you couldn’t stay sober, but we know that if you want to stay clean you find a way and if you don’t…..you find a way out
you could have told here to leave your house……………but junkies don’t like to be lonely…………………they need someone to share their misery with
you ran me down because i called you on your shit and we parted ways because if you aren’t willing to do the drill………then you can only suck life from others because you have no life to give
i’m here and you’re not because you wouldn’t be honest with yourself or anyone else……………….doesn’t make me better than you…….just willing
i knew you were a ”goner” when you kept blaming everyone else/ yeah, i got breaks and you did too……..the difference is i appreciated the last one and wasn’t sure i would get another
you had no protection because your spiritual connection was the needle/ so finally the sniper had a clear shot and the rest is another chapter in
you can beat this disease…………………….until you surrender
c’ya…………………………………………………i told you so
