The thing about grabbing at straws

you have to be quick

in such a hurry you’re never sure what you get

the process is exhausting and when you’re spent

you look around and have no clue where they went

so you repeat the process again and again

with the same results but you are defiant and won’t give in

grabbing at straws is like trying to hold the wind

when you’re sure you have it ….. it’s gone again

so you go back to grabbing straws

At least it’s the a little closer…. To something you try to
