Sometimes the demons inside of me

Just won’t let me be

telling me I’m no good

putting me down

won’t to wear a frozen frown

but I won’t let them have their way

so I pray and ask the Lord to send them away

send them away….. save their lies for another day

sometimes I feel like I’m never enough

want to sit down and just give up

but that’s not how I was raised

taught to hope for better days

send them away…I send them away when I pray

know help is on the way

they just want me to lose my way

you can’t please everyone you meet

everyone don’t want you to succeed

best to smile and get outta their way

be polite…. And send them away

Easy to get stuck trying to figure things out

best to trust in the middle of doubt

no good to fuss…. No good to shout

try to remember it’ll work out

they forget God doesn’t play
