I wasn’t in Ashville North Carolina when the storm came through….. but I have been back 4 times with different groups trying to help where we can

The first entry was the hardest….. riding through the beautiful Black Mountains…..majestic…..only to be dumped into devastation and chaos….

From high to low in minutes

it will never be the same…….better perhaps….forgotten….never

the homes and businesses will be restored or rebuilt

but the trauma and memories will die with those that lived and still reside here

its a tight knit community with hardworking rural roots and a revitalizing art district nationally know for their works ….and habits….I’ll leave it at that

the storm itself is over…..the likelihood of another such incident slim…..but the lingering effects will reside in the minds of those that weathered the storm and the added description of “you know that wayward town in North Carolina that got the shit kicked out of it”

Unless you go there and see for yourself…..they ain’t finished yet”
