The little bird

broke its wing

falling from the nest

His brother and sister

with the aid of the Robin family

lifted him to the nest as they supported him

between two twigs that each of them held in their

mouth. It was quite the undertaking. Mother was beside herself…….she was tired raising the brood of 3 on her own……..she swore she would never marry a blue Jay again.  This one would be dependent on her for everything for the rest of her life….

” Broken Wing” could see the anguish on his Mothers face.

”Mother I will find a way to provide for myself and you……or I will go away and not burden you.”

She said “Son we will be fine. We will make a way.”

That nite “Broken Wing”fell into a deep sleep and he saw a vision of him singing to a large audience.

When he woke up he remembered the dream and he started to train his voice……. He was committed and word got around he was interested in learning to sing.

He was visited by Mr. Owl……Mrs. Robin and Charles Whippoorwill….and they offered their time and skills at no charge if he applied himself.

”Broken Wing” was a very focused student and he in no time was singing his own songs. His sound was a combination of his 3 teachers and it was thrilling .

He decided to do a concert and invite the forest…… it was magical…..and His Career took off. With the various items that His fans brought for admission he was soon very wealthy and His Mother was beyond proud. His brother and sister were his manager and  agent.
He made a point to give back and help others and those actions increased his popularity.

 

He lived a long and prosperous life.

On his death bed he laughed and his siblings asked what was so funny.
“Who would have thought this old broken wing would be the best thing that ever happened to me.
