Based on a whim I jumped right in

seems everyone knew I was drowning

they played along and tossed me a line

someone thought I was worth saving

catching my breath I offered my hand

and was greeted with a queer observation

The man who tossed the rope said

Take this as a warning:

“ there will come a time when no one will be there with a line and it might be wise to consider…. If your don’t know the waters and what danger lurks below and the current is swift….. perhaps you should evaluate the conditions before you jump in”
