I once was an Eagle 🦅 and soared in the sky above

majestic and powerful and proud of my agility and skill at hunting

I spent hours among the clouds and my vision rivaled the best binoculars

then one day a hunter shot me by mistake thinking I was a Buzzard after his chickens…..and I will admit that if one crossed my path by accident I might be tempted to grab an easy meal…. But I prefer the abundant wildlife in the lake

i made it back to my nest and feel into a trace and a noble figure approached me and said… “ it was unfortunate that you came to this demise… therefore you will return to the earth as a land dweller in the form of a Snail……. Enabling you to experience a totally different world than you are used to”

when I awoke it was just as he said it would be….and I was mortified

I found a hole in a nearby rock and fell asleep bewildered…… this was it my restoration?

In the morning I was hungry and went about foraging something I seem to have inherited in this new dimension

I quickly realized that I had never been in this element or in such surroundings

I met skunks 🦨 and frogs 🐸 and worms and many different insects and one obviously thought I would make a good snack and instinctively I omitted a fluid that immediately drove him away….. very unnerving but also kinda cool… this I realized was a tremendous opportunity for me

to live one life up…..and one life down

I’m still an Eagle 🦅 at heart but “A Happy Snail”on the ground

Life is precious and always what you make it

I once was an Eagle but now I’m a Snail
