I was engaged in a 10’ ft deep conversation with a trusted advisor and I was dialed in.

I kept noticing my mentor turned his head from side to side and had a puzzling look and a slight smile.

Our conversation was in the pursuit of balance and humility an area at times I struggle with.

It was suggested that the welfare and concern for others without trying to control them was a good yardstick to measure progress and I was soaking his words up like a wet/dry vac..and he stopped me and said….” Hold on a minute.. I see you are focused and attentive….But please don’t put me on a pedestal, I’m not a spiritual guru, what I am saying was passed on to me. Remember even Socrates picked his nose.”
