I have to admit at times I am better at communicating with my dog 🐕 than I am with people. We have been together for 19 years and he knows my different tones in my voice and the way I speak the words when I address him.

I forget that others that don’t have that history with me don’t have those experiences to relate to.

I have to be better at being clear and concise without giving in to my poetic nature which has a tendency to take people in directions I never imagined.

A poet is capable of soothing and disturbing depending on the slant of a few words.
Poets enlighten or trample if not careful.

Roses are beautiful….but remember they also have thorns..
