The hiker rose from his sleep and said hello to the day.
Securing his bedroll he gathered the few pieces of equipment and began walking the trail to his destination.
The fall season was his favorite time to stroll through these majestic mountains.

Then as appreciation for God’s handiwork grew as he trudged….He heard a melody. It grew in intensity as he walked and he headed toward the direction to where he thought it was coming from…..and the melody grew louder and louder….

He couldn’t find it……exhausted and bewildered he sat on a fallen tree trunk to gather himself…….then he realized the music was coming from within.

Tears streamed down his face as he walked and he thanked God for the song in his heart…..the intensity of the song changes from time to time…..but it has never left.

Grateful is the only way to go…..keep walking
