the man i once knew
the man i once knew doesn’t live here anymore……………………he didn’t actually move…………….he more accurately faded away and was replaced by a man more aware of the astonishing miracle of life and the magic and mystery that surrounds it…………….. in all it’s forms………………..
i watched the transformation and molting take place and it was both enlightening and humbling to see the sheer terror on his face at times and the determined willingness to cross over into the unknown in search of ”the better man”………….
it isn’t hard to watch a warrior victorious in battle time after time…………….but keeping ones’ eyes fixated on the bruised and injured warrior who loses many battles and yet manages to ultimately win the war…………….is taxing to say the least
the new man walks noticeably slower and speaks plainly and direct………..he seems to have trimmed much of the adornments of the ‘old man’ in favor of simplicity……..
i like that indeed about the ”new man”
the man i once knew……………is gone
