their is an internal compass that let’s me know for sure

if the path i am traveling will bring sadness or bring joy

though i may consult with others i generally already know

if i am at peace within……………….all is well with my soul

matters not the occasion nor what is happening in this world

my internal mechanism will guide me if i listen to it’s call

glad i no longer wonder if my course is good for all

that little voice inside me cautions me before i stumble and fall

my barometer is my soul
