Augean……………………..difficult and unpleasant

like taking down the facade that you have been hiding behind for years and admitting you are as scared at times as everybody else…..

finding the courage to examine old worn out prejudices and beliefs and packing them up and throwing them out and refusing to answer the door when they knock to come back in……

actually thinking how your actions will affect others before you act, instead of just talking about it……….

getting honest with that little guy you have let live in a closet in your mind and asking him to join the conversation………..making sure he knows you want Him to come out of hiding and face His issues……….

making it a regular part of your routine to tell the truth……not a perceived acceptable version of it………………

you don’t have to do it…………………you can go on pretending…..it’s almost worked this far……except that that [piece….actually…peace] that is missing that makes the ride rough as if your wheel is out of round………………………

because it is………………………..

the ‘hard work’…………………..is the most rewarding…..Augean
