humility/ for Garner

there was a man……a learned man…….respected by his peers……both for the knowledge he had acquired and for the way he preservered……….for he was gifted in his ability to learn but not so with his sight and he struggled with the books he chooose until he got it right……..so his knowledge was well earned and his wisdom came in the fight……..to overcome his limitations and achieve more than most with sight…….

he never compared himself to others or made no boastful claims and he said his greatest teachers were listening to childrens as they played………………he would sit for hours on a bench in the park and listen to them interact and share their trials……..that he said was the truth that adults had forgotten how to tell…….

he never came off schlorly or holier than thou……just a simple man who loved to learn and wore if very well………
