getting older has benefits no one can imagine until you get here

• slow is not arduous anymore
• reflection is entertaining and not a litany of all my screw ups
• appreciation for both what i have been given and what i have not
• slower to judge
• i look at flowers and listen to birds
• it is nothing like i thought it would be
• a part of life not to be dreaded or missed
• best of all no fishing license required
