in pursuit of enlightenment a friend cried out to me

”why i have found a lovely way to find that which we seek, doesn’t require much sacrifice and the language is soft and sweet”

i am trying to be open to different paths people trod, and what i have found to be often true, they tend to agree with things that are ”seasoned to their taste”

if i am in search of attaining a better spiritual place, something that will startle me into changing my heart and mind, then i doubt that it could be easily imparted or inserted in a moments time

rather me thinks it be a bitter pill, hard to swallow and partake, but in conversation with others i respect, i see by how their lives have changed that it would be worth the consequence required to find a better way

so i am not interested in a new age twist, i find that everything i need to know or answers that i seek, can be found in a manuscript which no others can compare and watered down interpretations that others find easier to accept just don’t interest me when i can pick up the original authentic text

”seasoned to my taste” is fine for recipes, but not a good recipe for life
