my wife was leaving town and i was up so i decided to visit a church around the block

a new congregation has bought the building as the previous church had failed to attract new members and the fellowship had gotten older and lost many members due to age

so a new pastor and a new group had taken over the facility

more of an evangelical offering as the previous group, leaning towards fundamental……………….which i have no problem with………………as long as no snakes are handled or blood shed……………..whatever gets you closer to the God of your understanding is okay with me

i didn’t find the pastor to be inspiring nor uplifting, but i admit that could just be me……………….but i did get a message…………………God speaks to me in many undetected and unusual ways

a lady a few pews up caressed and scratched her husbands bald head the entire service………………..didn’t seem to bother him and she looked like she was enjoying herself as best i could tell

so the message:”the touch of one human to another is both assuring, comforting and extends the hand of God”

there is always a message to draw us closer to Him and he offers it to us in a language we can understand”

may be awhile before i visit again, but today i got the message
