shout and holler, scream and swear

run around the house in your underwear

say you don’t believe and you don’t care

He’s not going anywhere

try His patience again and again

say He doesn’t care and He’s not your friend

wear yourself out and then fall down

but He’s not going anywhere

turn your back on Him and spit in His face

mock and scorn Him and say faith is a mistake

laugh at believers and say they are fake

but He isn’t going anywhere

doesn’t matter what you say or do, God realizes without Him you are confused and He will let you blow your fuse

but He isn’t going anywhere

if you get to that point where you just don’t want to go on, life isn’t fulfilling and you can’t find your way home, perhaps you will remember this simple prayer, ” okay if You are out there, show me You care ”

and He will because He isn’t going anywhere
