i have a friend he’s a little offbeat but people listen when he speaks…..because what he says in his talk is backed up by the way he walks

i gave him his name years ago when i was trying to get sober with no place to go…….he said i got an old house that needs fixing up, you help around there to earn your cot……we work on the house from 8 till noon then cut grass in the neighborhood……….doing odd jobs and fixing things, buys you a few clothes and puts food on our plates

i watched people come and go, a few stayed and i watched them grow and this dude ran the show with love and rules that he did not bend

i moved on after 2 years on the block and i go back and try to give back, the house turned out to be a work of art………..but nothing could compare to ”walkie talkie”

good lesson to live by ” IF YOU TALK IT. WALK IT ”
