fires of sorrow

i walk through the fires of sorrow, i will not change my gait

i am to blame for starting them by not owning my mistakes

to deviate from the assigned walk is the nature of man, but to repeat the same offense over and over again, a man is unwilling to do the needed work, to plow new fields and sow new seed that will yield a better crop

so we have a remedy and the medicine is tough to bare, we can only put the fires of sorrow out by raining down a commitment of hope and prayer

i start the fires of sorrow by neglecting responsibility
