welcome cowboys and cowgirls, you joined the rodeo when you entered this world

you will be trained as a clown and then you move up, depending on how well you learn to ride and how well you rope

you will get better because you will hurt in places you never knew and when the pain gets great enough you will learn something new

you may venture off from time to time but you will return because life always gives you a new bull to ride

as the years pass you take it in stride……you may be getting older but you will always be required to ride

the last days of your rodeo will end with little fanfare………….fans have long stopped asking for autographs and new stars have appeared

but when you put your saddle away for the last time, it feels good to know you didn’t always get to the bell, but you never ran when it was your turn to ride

you became a cowboy or a cowgirl when you entered this world
