i can’t farm out the work that only i can do

when my soul springs a leak another plumber just won’t do

i have to roll up my sleeves and put on my boots, put in a sump pump to drain out the slug, find the leak and determine the cause, change my behavior and put it in the log

i can’t ask you to do something for me that requires personal honesty, that would be like giving you a band-aid and turning out the lights, the chances are slim you would get the placement right

i’ve tried to use others to do work only i can do and the results were predictable, disappointment in me, resentment for you

so we don’t use any sub-contractors to do personal tasks they can’t get the job done because it’s our task
