i gave you that smile wasn’t hard to do, you seemed puzzled not sure what to do

when we passed i made a point to look you in the eye and i smiled with my heart and it showed through my eyes

i watched you continue walking down the street and you head raised up and you slowed your pace

a simple thing anyone can do and always more appropriate than words

so i gave you that smile, i hope you pass it on

because it will gain power as it travels along

one simple act may have affected hundreds that day

but one thing for sure……………………….. it benefited me
