”impossible to know what you do not know” an old friend use to say

sometimes i have let my intelligence get in my way

not because i’m a mental giant but i like to be right

and sometimes that may keep me from learning, what should be in plain sight

the beauty of different view, we see through different eyes

something you may notice may slip past my sight

while i am formulating a plan to support my view, something just passed by that i never knew

the most intelligent people seem to have a common thread, they commune with you in a simple way and never use their knowledge to hit you on the head

they also seem to realize there is so much to learn, a closed mind keeps what it has but leaves no room to learn

use use intelligence to understand rather than confront
