one had a thought and was compelled to share

not knowing if anyone would dare read or if anyone cared

we do what we do because it is who we are

so it is with great pleasure to hear another respond

letting you know they get where you’re coming from

and if that one voice was the only one to respond

couldn’t be happier because we both won

isn’t that what this walk is about learning to give, learning to love

because everyone wants to be accepted as they are

people find it easier when they know someone cares

so we give to each other and what started as one

has so many repercussions that go on and on

what seems so insignificant can be just the thing

that helps someone else get through the day
