watching my dog try to stay awake

i remember reading that very intelligent people are rarely bored because they can find things of interest all around them

i don’t claim to be in that group but i have learned to pay attention to my surroundings

taking time to see as opposed to surveying

life ins’t a landscape it’s an ant hole, a dandelion, a rock not a mountain

my point is the beauty is in the details

……………………………………………………………………………………………………………..

i’m setting in my studio this morning and i gave my dogs a generous breakfast,

laced with leftovers from last night’s dinner……………………………God i can hear the armchair vets now

table food isn’t recommended blah, blah……………………yes i know and sometimes i have to clean up things that don’t agree with them………………so what they love it

so after breakfast Stuart, my Chihuahua mixed with a Rhodesian Ridgeback, another story, was having a very difficult time staying awake

reminding myself of many Thanksgiving Dinners that had the same affect on me

he would gradually lower his head until it hit his bed and he would wake himself up again

the process lasted almost five minutes until in defeat he succumbed to sleep

i found it interesting that he would fight so hard

don’t miss the nuances of life in search of the big picture

remember the big picture is made up of many small ones
