oh what fun it was to rattle off a tale

embellished with all sorts of things that never did exist

entertained for hours on end as we laughed at each others spoken dreams

but as we got older some of us never stopped spinning yarns that no one else believed

you see for awhile it was easier to exist in the land of make believe

then life imposes situations where we are required to live in reality

a few are able to tell a tale so well that others are willing to pay their way

but the same old song sang over and over loses it initial ring

i never intend to stop dreaming, but i have learned to separate the two

fantasy and reality are two things one must never confuse

do as you like ,play the game for life and when the curtain begins to fall

you will be searching for the lights

the stage manager will take your hand and lead you from the stage

as he pushes you through the exit you hear him say:

”you played that part so well the undisciplined fool but you never enlarged your repertoire and that how we will remember you”
