every so often it’s good to turn and see the wake we are leaving behind

the rudder of our life is better off left in the hand of whatever power we believe is out there

for me it is God, but i have no intention or inclination to push anything your way

that resolution has been enlightening and freeing

we till the field as we travel and the furrows stretch back to the beginning

the cycles of plant and harvest are easy to see if we take time to notice

so many try to bury the past and until we learn the lessons it wishes to teach us

the rains of life continue to expose it and it doesn’t go away, it must be acknowledged

like it or knot, and i do mean knot

because the end result of avoidance of the past is a tangled web of lies that we continue trying to believe

to no avail

i didn’t say ”stay”, but my greatest asset is the life i have already lived

productive or not, directed or not, purposeful or not……..doesn’t matter

what matters is a desire to evolve, explore and reach to the Power within us

that asks us to turn and learn and move on
