reality

reality pays little attention to me, won’t do a damn thing that i ask

even worse when i don’t pay attention to it, it precedes to kick my ass

i stop hoping to always like it and that has helped quite a lot , because it doesn’t care about my preferences

reality does what it wants

getting better about not hating it and accepting this is our lot

just a bunch of inept humans dealing the best we can with things we do not want

    Of your recent entries, this one and the one about Awkwardness rocked my sox off. The message is strangely comforting in its “reality doesn’t care” kind of way. And the rhymes and refrains deliver the message with extra power…..ask and ass..”helped quite a lot”/”this is our lot” plus the most used word…that throbber–WANT.
