you were across the room, but i heard you when you shared

i heard you with my ears and then i heard you with my heart

your eyes locked on mine when you could see i was trying to listen

watching someone start a new way of life is invigorating and uplifting

you found the courage to hope, and your journey began

i am another pilgrim on this path, no more , no less

my experience has helped me avoid many pitfalls and made me aware there are many others

that i must learn to be aware of and how to weather them

connected by adversity or defeat may indeed be a stronger bond than connection through achievement

or success

not really worth pondering, either way today is a better day for both of us
