because i know, i will give thanks for each and every circumstance

for it is as it should be

teaching me things i wouldn’t see if challenges were not placed in my path

sometimes i have the strength and clarity to handle the issue that confronts me

but as often as not, i must stop

pause and ask for help, for between my insecurity and my unwillingness to see

left to ponder on my own, i am quickly confused and lost until i break the lock

open up the door to a friend who knows far more than i could ever suppose

and He awaits the call from me for He promised me long ago
