i think you were afraid of what you might find

as you grow older perhaps you have begun to see

that it’s not that things change so much

but what changes is inside of me

you see i’m a part of you and you have always been afraid of me

thinking i would take you places you really shouldn’t be

but that’s not how i work, you have confused me with your head

my job is to help nurture and help you grow
