the most precious gift i can give

the sacrifice that says it all

is to offer time to you, is the greatest gift of all

i cannot add one single day to this life that has been given to me

i have little say when it may be taken away that decision isn’t up to me

so when i suggest that we meet because it’s is something you need to share

i am giving you the greatest gift, to let you know i care

i choose wisely how i will spend my time, wasn’t always this way,

some things you learn as you go along, some you keep, some you let slip away

i don’t expect any tributes for the gift that i bestow

but i would not offer my time to someone who wasn’t willing to grow
