the tornado warning was issued and the emergency alerts where on the tube and cell phones

but i can reflect and appreciate the fact the tornado is outside and not inside

no longer a whirling dervish ready to fly off the handle at any given moment

ready to create turmoil and destruction of anything unfortunate to be in my path

i come in peace and not in pieces

i have days that are better than others but rarely bad ones

because i am not a stick of dynamite begging for a match

the winds of life blow and sometimes they are fierce, can’t do anything about those

but i can subdue the tornado inside if i never let it build up steam, fueled by fear and bad information

yep, tornado headed our way, but in out there and not in here
