nobody likes dogcatchers but what if we didn’t have them?

what about all the jobs people do that nobody else wants to do?

perhaps when you see a sanitation worker maybe a thank-you is in order

someone does the things that i don’t want to do and the same is true for you

so that doesn’t make them less than me or less than you

we all have a role to play and that’s how things get done

i need you to play your role and you need me to play mine

we all are blessed with certain skills that keep things moving along

thank-you for the job you do, i hope you do it great and as for me

i’ll keep trying to do a little better everyday and play my part that i have chosen

to the betterment of all
