i read these words in the Bible before i start the day

and i ask You to send the Holy Spirit to help me understand what i have read

that helps me with understanding what it is You would have me do

but as i go about my travels, Your Words seem far away

so i ask You to help me, as You know i am easily led astray

write Your words on my heart so i can remember them when this world baffles me

my feet will do the talking as i walk away from strife and You can keep me safe and clear

as I am guided by Your light
