doing for others does more for me

gives me purpose and sets my heart free

to do what it was intended to do

be a beacon for hope and hand to help someone up

shallow life indeed when i am consumed with me

but to get my life back on track i need only look for opportunities

to share the love that was given to me and restore the balance that keeps me free

of the bondage of self

can’t be good for me if it isn’t good for you criteria i ask myself before i say or do

rather spend my time helping someone find their way then being self-absorbed in me

it is no accident that what has been given must be shared and conveyed

there is no problem that i cannot take to God that is willing to make a way

ask

kindness is its own reward.
