the night is closing fast and i am fading with sun

so i take a minute and reflect on how i spent my day

i helped a friend early this morning get to a flight on time

gave a neighbor a hand taking out her trash

cooked a meal for a group of friends and went to church tonight

gave my wife some time to be heard about things that were on her mind

so i had a pretty good day and nothing i would try to hide

nothing to write home about but good enough for me

sometimes just keeping it basic and simple is the best plan for me

after learning to appreciate smooth
