life never lies it will look you in the eye and it’s your choice to accept or not

the question is always how many lies must we tell ourselves before we give in to reality

”like” is a term that barely finds its way into reality

we are blessed to appreciate people, places and things, however we are infinitely more blessed to accept people,places and things as they are

that takes a clear headed, honest person

to be able to be honest with ourselves is a feat only achieved after many days or years of practice……………………….but it changes ”maybe” into reality

when i was a little boy i dangled my feet in the brook

and watched the water pass over my foot

i damned the stream with sticks and rocks, but all of the water i could not stop

so again i devised a plan and gathered leaves and wedged them in

between the rocks and limbs

much to my surprise, i saw water coming through the sides

i sat for awhile and begin laughing for the water was more powerful than I

i was able to understand that i lacked the right material to carry off the plan

but more than this, i realized it is often fruitless to resist

i cannot change reality, but i have two choices, to fight or to accept

one will keep me constantly frustrated and the other will bring me peace
