today would be a good time to unlock the box

you know the place where you keep all your treasure and stuff

i’m pretty sure that if it’s been some time the value of some,has changed in your mind

i refer to it as a culling, separating the silver from the dross removing what is valuable from unwanted stuff

i begin to see a pattern that becomes evident as i watch, if it doesn’t have a human connection it will probably get tossed

so i would wager if relationships mean that much to you, you try to nurture them like i have with you

when it comes down to it the things that make our lives a success, are the relationships we formed and those that have passed many tests

partners in love are beautiful thing, but there are always expectations and so many strings

but you and i have no requirements to meet, no stings attached and no chains on our feet

we do as we please and sometimes we disagree but it doesn’t stop you from being you, nor me from being me

perhaps we share the greatest love of all, we treasure each other the way we are, sometimes big and many times small

today would be a good day to pull out your box and remember some of those days we both have forgot
